Pony Club Camp

 June 30 - July 3, 2019
Sponsored by the Paradise Creek Pony Club

Since its inception in 1967, Pony Club Camp has run strong at the Pony Club Grounds with approximately 25-40 participants attending annually. The camp traditionally runs for three days after the Hopeful Horse Trials.

Open to children eight years and up who are members of the United States Pony Club. The camp is a designed as a learning experience. Each camper must have a chaperone on site at all times. Upon arrival each rider is greeted and directed to his or her assigned stall. She/he will setup camp nearby and be responsible for the horse’s completed care for the duration of camp.

Pony Club instructors from across the Northwest, and occasionally, national Pony Club examiners provide instruction. They also provide feedback to help Pony Clubbers prepare for certification ratings in horse management, anatomy and physiology, and first aid.

Activities consist of mounted riding lessons based on rider skill levels, unmounted horse management sessions, and the ever popular camp fires, skits, and swimming at nearby creeks.
